We currently support two major International Projects initiated by our Club Members.
Clinic in Nankana Pakistan
Eye Clinic in Illam, Nepal
Clinic in Nankana Pakistan
We’re thrilled to share the success of the recent free medical and physiotherapy clinic in the Warburton district of Nankana Sahib, Pakistan in 2023 and 2024.
This incredible initiative was made possible through our partnership with the Jad-o-Jehad Foundation, led by our very own Rotarian Numan Rasul. Numan Rasul, Chairman of the Jad-o-Jehad Foundation, reported on the remarkable impact of the camp.
Ferozewatwan district Sheikhupura, Pakistan on 3rd of December 2023.
SUCCESS OF Jad-o-Jehad Foundation’s Free Medical & Physiotherapy Camp: We have provided free medical services to approximately 1100 patients with free medicines 😇❤️ .
Most of the patients came with stomach issues and then physio related, the other patients were having concerns of cold & flu, paediatric, fatigue, weight loss, diet plans, general health and medical issues. The prayers, smiles and positive hopes of living lives from them really touched our hearts. 🥹❤️
Jad-o-Jehad Foundation feels pleasure to have such an amazing team of volunteers who contributed towards the free medical & physiotherapy camp and provided their best services… I am thankful to each and every volunteer for their countless efforts… 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
*Our supportive partners:
Rotary Club of Howrah, Physio connect Association and Dr. Abdul Rauf
Targeting 1100 patients was not an easy task but we made it happen with all the support and efforts of each and every person/organisation who contributed through services or donations… Thank you
The Heart Touching Moment: One of the doctor visited thalassemia patients in their house and provided his best services to the 3 siblings (they all were thalassemia patients) and he spent his some quality time there as well. 🥺
Here are the highlights of a camp in 2023:
Over 320 patients received essential medical and physiotherapy services.
A dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including general physicians, paediatric specialists, physiotherapists, and pharmacists, provided their expertise.
Despite challenges such as scorching temperatures, dedicated volunteers ensured that patients from the village and neighbouring villages received the care they needed.
We extend our gratitude to Numan Rasul and the entire Jad-o-Jehad Foundation team for their commitment to improving lives.
Eye Clinic in Illam, Nepal
Back in November 2023 Vice President Ankita and Rotarian Ishwari travelled to their home country, Nepal and while they were there organized an Eye Screening Clinic for the people of Illam. The locals live a long way from a hospital set up to perform eye surgery so they helped organize the doctors, nurses and support crews to provide vital screening services to over 350 patients.
